Anirudh Ravichanger is an Indian music composer and playback singer, mainly in Tamil Cinema. He is one of the most popular composer who rose to fame pretty quickly for many songs that have gone viral around the world

EARLY LIFE

Anirudh Ravichaner is the son of actor Ranvichander Raghavendra and Classical dancer Lakshmi Ravichaner. He had a normal childhood and went to school like any other person. He attended and graduated from Loyola College in Chennai, just in case his music career did not take off. Anirudh learnt piano and was part of a fusion band. Later on he pursued a diploma in sound engineering. In his school days, where Anirudh and his band participated in a reality TV show judged by A.R. Rahman where he and his band were one of the winners. 

DEBUT IN TAMIL CINEMA

Anirudh Ravichanger made his debut in Tamil Cinema in his cousin Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s movie 3.  During the filming process, a leaked version of a song from the film 3, Why This Kolaveri Di!, caused some stir on social media. The film's team decided to release it officially instead. This song became a big hit not just in India but all over the world!  The quirky Tanglish lyrics (English and Tamil mixed together) with actor Dhanush singing brought even more popularity to the song making it one of the most searched songs on YouTube video in India in 2011 and because of the big talk around all of Asia. According to the director Aishwarya Rajinikanth, he wanted a light-hearted song about failed love. Anirudh quickly composed the tune in about 10 minutes.  The rest of the songs for the movie 3 were released in December 2011 and also received very positive reviews from everyone. A critic also noted that “Such a promising debut by a composer hasn’t been seen in recent Tamil cinema history”. There were many comments complimenting about how all the songs in 3 the music and vibe of the songs. 

LATER SUCCESSES

Throughout the next few years from 2013 to 2017 he produced many amazing works that all gained many praises, he worked with various actors, he produced another song that has actor Dhanush in it for a film called Maari. The song don’u don’u don’u along with the movie and the rest of the album became a sensational hit across south India. He also worked with Vijay, Ajit Kumar etc. He also worked with other Indian artists like Yo Yo Honey Singh and Hip-hop Tamizha (he actually introduced them to the music industry in his album Ethir Neechal).
